Since when are you having diarrhea?
Do you have any other symptom? or past illness?
Did you have any test?
Did you consult doctor or take any other medicine?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No I haven't had any past symptoms or illness.
It started about 4 weeks ago and felt like a virus
I don't take any medicine and eat a very natural diet so don't normally have any digestive problems
My friends have also had similar symptoms -but they seem to come and go and it's the same with me.
Sometimes I think I'm better -then it comes back again. Still feeling tires also with it.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I do take half grain of NatureThroid daily. And have weak adrenals at the moment due to stress and moving .
But that was 6 months ago-so don't think it's related.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Will you continue to reply here-or through email??
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

Thank you for the information,
Viral diarrhea is usually over within a week.
When it is continuing for 4 weeks, there can be other possibilities.
Infection with parasites, bacteria can occur.
Inflammatory bowel disorders or diverticulitis can cause diarrhea.

High thyroid hormones can cause diarrhea.
I would suggest to take an examination by doctor.
A few tests like stool, CBC, metabolic panel can be needed.
A course of antibiotic can be needed.
Meanwhile, please try to keep good hydration.
Take plenty of fluid, oral rehydration solution.
Urine output should be observed.
In dehydration, there can be tired feeling.
Bland soft diet, rice, banana, toast can be taken.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
Please rate my answer excellent if you are satisfied with it.
Regards.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Thank you for your reply.
I am not dehydrated-I have been drinking a lot and also making sure I have enough electrolytes.
I don't feel that my tiredness is due to lack of hydration.
If this were high thyroid hormones would the symptoms tally with it?
At first the diahorria was yellow and then green and now the colour is normal. So felt that I'm probably getting better -albeit slowly.
What does this tell you?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

Since when are you taking this dose of thyroid?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Since the early part of this year.
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

So this is unlikely related to thyroid.
It can be from an infection.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I actually am not sure that I needed it -as my root problem was adrenal fatigue.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
How long would this last if that isn't the case?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Do you think it sounds viral?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

I do not think it is viral.

Viral one would not last 4 weeks

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
what type of infection could it be then?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

Bacterial or parasitic infection is possible.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
If that's the case.
Does this eventually go away on its own-or what treatment is required?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

Antibiotic would be required in that case.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Is that the case with a parasitic infection also
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Should I continue normal eating -does food make a difference in this case?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

Yes.

It will also require medicine like metronidazole in case it is giardia.

Soft bland diet would be good.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Thank you- Could you explain as to why it's normal bowel movement in the morning and then intermittent diahorria at other times?
Is this consistent with a parasitic infection?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

It can occur in parasitic infection.

There can be variation in presentation.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Thank you. ***** nnneed tests taken to find out exactly what it is -or are symptoms enough?
Can I get back to you at another time if I have more questions?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

A few tests like stool, CBC, metabolic panel would be needed.

You can have follow up query on the same issue.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Thank you.
Can this rectify on its own -or does it always need intervention?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

It is unlikely to go away of its own.

You need to contact your PCP.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
