JA: How long have you had the lump? Is it hard or soft?
Customer: Just noticed it 10 minutes ago It seems hard
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

Sorry I wasn't signed on earlier when you asked your question. This is most likely a cyst that is forming a head. The best thing to do is leave it alone for several days. If it becomes painful, you can apply ice several times a day and take over the counter pain relievers.

It may rupture on its own or it may get quite large and red. That is when you go to your primary provider. It may require incision and drainage with antibiotics.

Please let me know if you have more questions about this.

Kind regards,
