Ok. Could I be at the beginning stages of any kind of kidney

Customer Question

Ok. Could I be at the beginning stages of any kind of kidney disease? Other than not being as active as I should, I think I am pretty healthy. Can kidney disease, just happen to people or is there almost always a cause or something unhealthy the person is doing?

Hello again.
In some cases, there can be congenital kidney disease or those that are present since birth.
In other cases, where it develops later on in life there is usually a cause.
Those can be infection, immunological factors, stone, growth.
Uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes can also cause kidney disease.
Those need to be controlled well.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.

Ok. If Blood pressure is controlled well, my kidneys should last many years? :)
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

You may not develop kidney disease at all.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
That's good thanks. ***** forgot to mention, for about a year I've had odd small muscle twitches all over, off and on periodically. Before my doctor thought maybe anxiety, but now I wonder if it's related to kidney.... losing kidney function can be horrible and shorten life, I don't want that! What do you think?
Expert:  Dr. Saha replied 10 months ago.

Yes, I agree with your doctor.

Muscle twitch is not related to kidney function.

You should not worry.
