A1C taken in January 5.8 avg. 107 back in January, 2016, Since then have lost about 20 lbs. Last couple of weeks symptoms gradually becoming more severe really tired, trouble focusing, really thirsty, frequent urination ,lots of nausea funny taste in my mouth. My husband had ketoasidosis about a year ago and my symptoms are similar, just trying to figure out if I should go to er or if making appt. with doc next week is sufficient.

if you have lost 20 lbs since jan, you would be less likely to have type 2 diabetes now.

your symptoms don't sound like they are from diabetic ketoacidosis.

dehydration, acid reflux, anxiety symptoms, upset stomach can all cause those symptoms.

you don't have to stress about having diabetes

most likely you will be fine to wait to see your primary care doctor next week
