Customer Question

My 7 year old seems to be super sensitively to chlorine and complains of burning and the feeling of having to pee, but try's to go and only a feed drops come out. I have given cranberry juice. But i was thinking of giving her a half tablet of Phenazopyridine HCI. Is this safe and how much should I give, if at all?
JA: How long have you been dealing with the burning? Are you experiencing any other discomfort?
Customer: This has been going on off and on but mostly during summer since last summer.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: She has had one UTI and was tested but of course the results showed clear by the time the y came back. I've got over everything from clean hygiene, showers no baths, no scratching under panties and no investigating down there.

How is her body weight?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
She is at her normal body weight. Not over weight at all.

Thank you for all the information,
It can be from an infection or inflammation.
I would suggest to take an examination by doctor & have an urine test again.
Please give her plenty of fluid to drink.
Phenazopyridine can be given at this age.
Dose depends on the body weight.
12 mg./kg, /day can be given dividing into 3 doses.
But it should not be continued for more than 2 days.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
