Thank you for your question.
I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.

I am sorry for your health condition.

The diet depends on the stage & severity.

In acute stage of diverticulitis, usually liquid food is advised.

You can take broth, fruit juices without pulp.

Clear soda, tea, coffee, water can be taken.

When the symptoms improve you can slowly introduce fibers.

Low fiber fruits like boiled fruits, vegetables without skin, white rice, low fiber cereal, low fat yogurt can be taken then.

However, there is no such specific food which will precipitate an attack.

The type of food tolerated varies individually.

If you feel worsening with any food, you need to avoid it.

Increasing fiber content of the diet will help in easy passage of stool.

I hope this information helps.
