This is in relation to ringworm infection of my 7 month old son. Has rash in diaper area.

Thank you for your question.

I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.

Diaper rash can be worse while swimming as the area can be wet for a long time.

Chlorine in the pool can irritate the area and worsen the condition.

You should not let him swim till the rash healed.

As he is getting treatment, it is unlikely to be contagious.

I hope this information helps.

If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.

If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.

It's ringworm, not diaper rash.

Just in the diaper area.

Ok great, so while to being treated it's unlikely I will get it or his sister? I'm wondering about sharing the bathtub with her as well. Do u think that's a bad idea?

Though the risk of infection decreases, still I would advise to wait till her rash gets healed.
