I have cyclic knee swelling. There's lots of pain during

Customer Question

Thank you.
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: I have cyclic knee swelling. There's lots of pain during abut 2 days of the cycle; during about 5 days, the pain is minor--but I can't walk well. One day, I can walk well. I want to be able to speed-walk so I can lose weight. This is preventing me from exercising. I take Ibuprofen occasionally.
JA: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? Have you noticed any swelling?
Customer: There
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: There's definitely swelling. It's "water on the knee.' Nothing really helps or hurts it.

Thank you for all the information,

As you are having swelling and pain, you will need rest now.

Though walking is a good exercise, still you should not exercise now, it will increase inflammation and pain.

Watching calori and diet plan can be done now.

Ibuprofen can reduce the inflammation and swelling.

You can take it 2-3 times daily after food.

Warm compression can help.

You can continue it till you see doctor.

Doctor may advice MRI and plan for further management.

Local steroid injection can be needed.

I hope this information helps.

If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.

If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.
