I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.
Since when is he having this issue?
Which past illness does he have?
Did he have any test?
Did he consult doctor or take any measure?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
He's been having this issue for about six months, she has several illnesses related to end-stage liver disease, he has been sober for five years. In the last month and a half they have done CAT scans MRIs ultrasounds colonoscopy endoscopically and the doctor he is seeing apparently doesn't think its urgent because they have scheduled his next appointment in a month
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
One doctor said it could be related to damage nerves in his back from playing football when he was young

Thank you for all the information,
There can be a few factors for weight loss.
Frequent ones are chronic infection, malnutrition or dietary factor, malabsorption.
Lack of appetite can cause malnutrition from less intake.
In other cases it can be due to high thyroid hormones, tumor or cancer, depression etc.
As ultrasound, scan & scopes are normal, he is unlikely having any tumor or major illness.
Chronic kidney, liver disease can cause loss of appetite.
As he is having constipation, he can try to increase the fiber content of the diet.
Fresh fruits, veggies would help.
Any sort of depression, stress needs to be avoided too
I would suggest to take an examination by doctor
I hope this information helps.
