What kind of pain reliever can I take with Lisinopril?

Customer Question

What kind of pain reliever can I take with Lisinopril ?
JA: How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse?
Customer: Arthritis joint , back pain.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No. The longer on my feet the more everything hurts. I stopped taking Tramodol due to the printed side effects.

Welcome to the site. My name's Schuyler and I'll be helping with your question.

What side effects did you experience with Tramadol?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
None.. Just did not like printed side effects. If I can take Tramodol for pain, I will.

Since you are taking lisinopril, I assume you have either high blood pressure or congestive heart failure. Other types of pain relievers such as NSAIDs (ibuprofen, naproxen) can increase blood pressure over time.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) or tramadol are usually chosen for those with hypertension, congestive heart failure, or kidney problems. Usually people find that tramadol provides more pain relief than Tylenol.

If you had no side effects, it is fine to resume using it.

My goal is to provide you with excellent service – if you feel you have received anything less, please reply back. I’m always happy to address follow-up questions. Kindly rate me (hopefully a “5”) when you are done.
