My face is salty tasting at all times
JA: How long have you been dealing with this issue? Any other skin concerns?
Customer: about 2 weeks. Leg cramps at night
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: over weight, on medicines for colestrol 1 asprin a day. use to be on high blood pressure meds but after 10 years was taken off do to real low blood pressure cancer spot on left kidney but monitered every 6 months

Everyone should taste salty all over except for immediately after showering. There are sweat glands all over the body with the greatest concentration in the head and neck area. All sweat contains salt so we all lose some each day. This can lead to dehydration and depletion of sodium content which can lead to cramps. In hot weather everyone needs to drink more fluids to stay hydrated.

If there is excessive sweating just at the head, that can be caused by hyperhudrosis, overactive sweat glands. Your doctor or a dermatologist would need to evaluate you for that. They can use Botox injections to slow down the head sweating.

There is no disease that causes sweating just on the face.
