Hard pea size lump on left side of my husband neck.. Painful and located mid neck area... What might it be,

Customer: it's har,, but seems to freely move under the skin not attached to the tendon or anything I have notice.... He has had it 5 days

This is Dr. David

this could be a small skin cyst or subaceous cyst under the skin. or it could be from an ingrown hair follicle.

lymph nodes tend to be deeper in the neck and not just under the skin.
