I used a home test kit for utis and have a bladder infection. I need something to get rid of the infection. is there anything over the counter or can you prescribe?

For an infection, antibiotics are required. They can only be prescribed by a provider who sees you in person. There is a chance that your regular doctor might call one in for you if you see him or her regularly. Nothing over the counter will help.
