I'm so sorry to hear this again. It happens all the time.

For now, use only a mild non-soap cleaner like Aveeno or Cetaphil to clean the sunburn. Air dry or pat dry and gently apply a thin film of 1% hydrocortisone cream (available at any pharmacy) to the area. You can apply cool compresses of plain water or a mixture of water and milk. You can also apply a mild moisturizer (Aveeno, Eucerin, Cerave). If you keep it in the fridge it feels even better.

Advil, Motrin, or Aleve can help with the pain.

Next time tell him to please use sunscreen.
