I take hydrocodone, and cyclobenzaprine, and tested positive

Customer Question

I take hydrocodone, and cyclobenzaprine, and tested positive for dilauded. Urine test. I take vitamin A, vitamin D, a multi vitamin, for hair skin and nails, ibuprofen, sudafed, benadryl, and flonase, occasionally. I have never taken dilauded. Why would this happen? Is it a false positive?

Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Hydrocodone can converted to dilaudid ( hydromorphone) in the body.

Hence both hydrocodone and hydromorphone can show up.

This is still consistent with your medication.
Best wishes,
It was my pleasure to help you today.
