Customer Question

I have a 2 1/2 year old girl. For the last 3 nights when she has gone to bed she has had between 99-102 fever plus a cough lasting all night. She doesn't have fevers throughout the day but keeps the cough and she doesn't eat or drink normal amounts during the day. I have been giving her Motrin throughout the day. Should I take her in or will it go away with medicine

This is Dr. Davidif she is not eating or drinking normal amounts, she could be dehydrated.motrin should be given with food and plenty of water and should her in to see a doctor or pediatrician.she might need a course of antibiotics or some IV fluids to prevent dehydration.
