This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Does the lump get smaller on lying down?

Can be a ventral hernia due to the protrusion of stomach through weak abdominal wall defect.

Should be confirmed by a CT scan.

can be repaired surgically if proven.

You can use a brace or an abdominal support during working to keep in in place.
