Gauze dressing stuck to nailbed following toenail removal. Appears to have been packed under skin.

Customer: Had surgery to remove pincher nail on second toe of right foot on Friday. 48 hours later, dressing is stuck to nailbed. Have soaked for over 2.5 hours.

You are doing the right thing.
Soaking in normal saline would loosen the dressing.
As you have tried it for hours, I feel you need to get it checked by doctor.

He can remove it if he feels necessary.

Otherwise it can fall off with scab.

Trying hard can cause bleeding as you are on Xarelto.

Im not pleased with response. He will remove in 2 days. It was saturated with blood and drainage and has to be removed to prevent infection. Ive not soaked in saline. Soaked in water with peroxide. 22 dollars for this answer?

Then you can soak in normal saline.

With adequate soaking, it should come out.

You can apply neosporin cream to prevent infection.
