Customer Question

Customer: I'm having drainage and its keeping me from sleeping. all i have is soda fed, but I'm not sure that will help
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: traveling abroad, just got a little over exposed to the cold and wind, and I'm under a lot of stress since I lost my wife last year. I feel very healthy in general. I guess i must be on the edge of having a bug or something. I need desperately to get a good night's sleep. I bought some sedafed a couple days ago because the pharmacist said if the drainage got too bad this might help but now I'm afraid to take something that is supposed to break up congestion. seems like the problem is that it's already breaking up
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $32) to post your type of question to Health Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?

Thank you for your question.
I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.
You can take Sudafed.
It will reduce the secretion.
Please keep the room warm & humidified.
You can try to sleep with the pillows up.
Besides cold, allergy can play a part where zyrtec or benadryl would help.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.

take Benadryl but not sudafed? Or take both if need be?

You can take both, if needed.
