Customer Question

I had an additional question regarding what I had just asked you about. My grandmother (87 years old) has recently been having what she calls as "spells"...she feels odd in her head...kinda like she is out of it for a few minutes. Again, her doctor called them a type of seizure perhaps and changed the seizure medication she had been taking. After these "spells" she urinates so frequently...noticeably alot. And she always has terrible headache. Something that we recently noticed. CT scans are normal. Everything is normal. Just wondering if you had any thoughts as to possible reasons? Or what it could possibly be?

This is Dr. David

her symptoms don't point to one condition

but she should get a brain MRI scan

and blood test for kidney function and electrolytes.

she should get EEG testing to check for seizure activity

hopefully changes of her seizure medications can help prevent these episodes.

let em know if you have questions.
