Customer Question

I've been having this clear discharge from my penis and I have been back and forth to the doctor and they have been giving me doxycycline. Even after taking the medication I'm still having the clear discharge throughout the day but mostly in the morning and having a strange feeling at the head of my penis and a burning sensation like in the tubing area of the penis from the testicles to the head and sometime in my buttock area. Sometimes it seems that I'm not emptying my bladder.I can use the bathroom and then my stomach still be at a budge and it still feels like I have to urinate but can't.....sometime I get this painful filing in my testicles tube and half way down my penis....what medication can I take to cure this

Thank you for your question.

I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.

Your symptoms can be due to prostatitis.

Infection of bladder, urethra can be associated.

The pain or burning can be felt in the urethra.

It may be referred to testis.

I would suggest to consult an urologist, if you have not taken it already.

Digital examination of prostate, ultrasound examination of prostate can be taken.

A swab test can be taken for culture.

Often it is difficult to treat.

It may take weeks of treatment.

Antibiotics like Cipro and levofloxacillin, Trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole, Nitrofurantoin, Carbenicillin, Erythromycin, Doxy- or Tetracycline etc.are often used.

You can use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, NSAIDs such as Aleve and Motrin to reduce the pain.

Please take plenty of fluid.

I hope this information helps.

If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.

If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.
