Customer Question

I have a cushiony lump as big as an orange on both sides of my spine. Could you tell me what that might be.It came up on the right side first and then the other side of spine started getting the same thing. Went to doctor and all he said was he would keep it measured. That's all he said about it.

Thank you for your question.

I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.

In which part of the spine exactly?

When did they develop?

Are they enlarging in size?

Is there any pain or any other symptom?

Can you send a picture?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The lumps are in the area where my bra goes and fastens. The lumps are on both sides of the spine area. It is burning really bad when I lean back and now when I work my arms or bend over my clothes actually cause some discomfort rubbing on the lumps, kind of sore just leaning back on them in the car. They have been there about 6 months. I don't have any way to take a picture. The one on the left side hasn't been there quite that long.

Thank you for the information,

There can be a few possibilities.

Those can be lipoma or collection of fat cells.

Another possibility is cysts, commonly sebaceous or epidermoid cysts.

Those are benign lumps & usually does not need urgent treatment.

Those can be observed.

So doctor told that he would keep them measured.
I would suggest to take an examination.
I hope this information helps.
