Customer Question

Hi
I am 28 years old diabetic for 4 years, I have been having constipation issues and a doctor just told me to take an enema, I am not really sure if he took my diabetes into account.
the enema he prescribed me I have just looked has 13.40 g of sorbitol In it. Is this Ok and what sort of effect will it have on my blood sugar.

Hi,

You can take enema and your medicines safely as it will lower my blood sugars, but not to extreme levels.

Sorbitol is easily metabolized with little to no insulin and does not cause drastic changes in blood sugar levels.

You should monitor your blood sugar levels.

Hope this helps.
