Customer Question

I'm 49 yrs old and have always had arthritis at different times in my hands and feet. The other day I woke up to arthritis (severe) in big toe joint, wrists, knees and elbows accompanied with a rash on my trunk? My eyes are also bloodshot. I feel fine otherwise, no sore throat or cold?

Hi. This needs immediate evaluation by a doctor

This could be what is known as poststreptococcal syndrome, even if you didn't have any symptoms of an infection like a sore throat or a fever.

It could also be a sign of an autoimmune disorder like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or psoriatic arthritis.

You need an evaluation and blood work to determine what's going on and if it's post streptococcal you'll need a course of antibiotics
