I have a dime size spot in hand it's dark red to purpleish I thought it might ringworm but lotrimin hasn't done anything to it. It don't hurt, itch or bother me at all just unsightly I guess

If lotrimin hasn't been effective it still would be ringworm more more than likely it's a spot of eczema and that should respond to a combination of an over the counter cortisone cream and calendula cream that you can get at a health foods store.

If it is ringworm you may need prescription ketoconazole cream for it but the best thing to do is not treat it yourself and have a doctor look at it first

Let me know if you need more information please
