Zoloft contains sertraline hydrochloride, and is used for treatment of major depressive disorder

In children aged (ages 6-12) the recommended dose is 25 mg once daily

However , with taking just one tablet of 100 mg Zoloft, there may be some side effects like Drowsiness, dizziness, upset stomach, nausea occur.

Keep and eye on your child.if he develops any unusual symptoms like difficulty in breathing , dizziness, fast heart rate, pain abdomen then consult your doctor ASAP.

You can give him OTC liquid Gaviscon for burning.

Also hydrate him with plenty of fluids.

You can check for a fast heart rate by simply feeling for the pulse of the child. Count it for a minute while the child is resting for at least the last 5 minutes.
Generally children may sometimes complain of a funny feeling in the chest too.

So keep wait and watch approach.

Also give him frequent small meals throughout the day.

Chances of any serious side effects are still less.
