I usually feel dizzy when I bend over, and I get frequent

Customer Question

I usually feel dizzy when I bend over, and I get frequent headaches and general weakness all over. I have oligimennorgahia and I haven't seen my period in months. I'm not pregnant though, but my breasts are heavier than normal and sometimes it's hard to breathe. What could be the cause? Low iron? Or my body adjusting

Do you have associated neck stiffness?

Blurred vision?

Sore throat,stuffy nose?

What is your occupation?

Any investigations/blood work done?

Any other medical illness?

Are you taking any medicines?

Stress and anxiety issues?

Lack of sleep?

None of the above. Just the menorrhagia. My flow is usually absent for months and I end up bleeding for over a month unless I use medication. I take Primolut N in such cases, usually after three weeks of nonstop bleeding, which is usually heavy. All I get are headaches, weakness and spotting.

i understand your concern.

As per your description, possible differential diagnosis may include Anemia,Thyroid dysfunction,Cervicogenic headache,Cluster headache.

Your female hormones,Thyroid function test,CBC,Iron Profile should be done.

Also you should do gentle massage on back of neck.

Your dizziness can be associated with Orthostatic postural hypotension(fluctuation in blood pressure while changing position).

You should start multivitamin supplement.

You should consult a gynecologist for a clinical exam and undergo complete blood work to get proper treatment.

Your eye examination is also considerable.

Hope this helps.

If you have any further questions then you can ask me.

I wanted to know if it had something to do with the Oligomennorhagia I was diagnosed with. Is it possible to feel a little anaemic in the absence of blood flow
Expert:  Onlinedoc replied 1 year ago.

It may be psychological.(Feeling of anaemia)

However there may be hormonal imbalance which should be ruled out in your case.

Hope this helps.

Apologies, but I don't understand what you mean by hormonal balance should be ruled out in my case.

Thanks for the follow-up.

As you have been diagnosed with Oligomenorrhagia so it can be caused due to female hormones disturbance which regulate menstrual cycle.

So i advise you to undergo hormonal panel for further evaluation.

Hope this helps.
