I have had thumb twitching in my non-dominant hand since May

Customer Question

I have had thumb twitching in my non-dominant hand since May and am worried. Tried drinking more water and more potassium, calcium and magnesium and it still is twitching. Feels weaker now and bothering my forearm too.

Do you have anxiety disorder?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I get anxious periodically but it is managed with the meds. Usually situational anxiety. Do worry about health problems when weird symptoms arise. I also feel shaky right now. Mostly on left side

Okay, this may be due to an electrolyte abnormality, I would advise you have your serum electrolytes checked with a blood test called a complete metabolic profile. If it is abnormal you may require supplementation which requires a physicians prescription, the over the counter supplements are not very helpful
