Customer Question

For several years, I've had problems with pain in neck on left side. During recent trip to Ecuador, I woke up one morning with what felt like the earring in my left ear lobe was pinching. That wasn't the cause. Just turning head from side to side intensified the sharp pain. Suggestions as to what to do? See a Neurologist?

There can be a few possibilities.
There can be a pinching of nerve in the neck.
This can occur in arthritis or disc disease.
Turning head can increase the impingement.
If you do not notice any swelling, redness in the ear lobe then it would be the likely cause.
Yes, an examination by neurologist would be helpful in that case.
You can use pain medicines like tylenol, meanwhile.
Please avoid the movement which aggravates the pain.
I hope this information helps.
