This is Dr. David
your testing results show severe low iron levels.
how old are you?
are you male or female? monthly menstral cycles can loose a lot of blood and iron
you might need hemorrhoid surgery to cut out hemorrhoids which bleed.
your iron and red blood cell levels could take months to slowly come back up.
you might need a blood transfusion of red blood cells for you to feel better faster.
if you have inflammation of your stomach, this can affect how you absorb iron in your stomach.
the IV infusions of iron will not be affected by your stomach or lack of GI absorption
ask your doctor for a blood transfusion of packed red blood cells at the hospital. this could help you feel better faster.
did your GI doctors do stomach biopsies and testing for H Pylori inflammation in your stomach?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I have had h pylori before , maybe it's back? I am having some nausea, thought that might be from venofer iron infusions
43 year old female
Heavy periods obgyn suggested partial hysterectomy because of that and fibroid tutors
Just want to feel better and be able to do normal activities at least
Just seeing an internal medicine doctor for these, don't think she is taking me too serious
Should I make an appointment with a hematologist
Just got third infusion on Tuesday , is it too early to retest for my iron levels?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Have to get iron up before they will do the hysterectomy
Expert:  Dr. David replied 2 years ago.
yes, your H Pylori could be back and needs to be checked for.
you might need a partial hysterectomy to stop these heavy periods and loss of blood for you to feel better.
a hematologist will tell you that you need more iron and you need to have a hysterectomy to stop your bleeding
if you are still short of breath and fatigued, your iron and hemoglobin levels will still be low. you need more time to get your levels up
ask for a blood transfusion to get your levels up faster
so you can have that hysterectomy procedure to stop that monthly bleeding.
