tonsilasty was the diagnosis. real nasty spot there! taking anitb..what you sugest such as mouthwash etc. ps. he did run a high fever

Warm saline gargle can be done, it will be soothing.
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of salt needs to be dissolved in an 8-ounce of warm water.
Antiseptic mouth wash like Listerine can be used.
Sometimes a long course of antibiotic can be required.
I think he should be checked by doctor again to decide whether he will need a extended treatment schedule.
