My girlfriend and I are set to marry in the next few days. She is 21 and still covered under her parent's insurance. Am I correct in the interpretation of the law that she may remain under her parent's policy until the age of 26?
Congratulations on your impending marriage!

If a plan covers children, they can be added or kept on the health insurance policy until they turn 26 years old.

Children can join or remain on a plan even if they are:

not living with their parents
attending school
not financially dependent on their parents
eligible to enroll in their employer’s plan

I hope this helped
please leave positive feedback if it did ! :-)
