Is 96 degrees a normal temperature for an adult

Is it oral temperature?
Under arm?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Oral temperatures-The patient should not have eaten, drunk, or smoked anything in at least the previous fifteen to twenty minutes, as the temperature of the food, drink, or smoke can dramatically affect the reading.

Hypothermia occurs as your body temperature passes below 95 F.
Probably this is on lower side but i am not sure about accuracy of the reading.
Normal range for oral temperature in adults is 98.2±0.9 °F
