so, for the past few days when i breathe in i feel some sort of numbness in my nose. it feels like it is inside of the nose. what is it?

mysticdoc :

Hi there,

I am Mysticdoc, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.

I am here to help you with your concerns.

mysticdoc :

Do you have any dry nose?

mysticdoc :

Any recent cold symptoms?

Customer:

nothing too drastic.

Customer:

i sneeze every morning for a while

Customer:

and i don't quite understand that it is

Customer:

it started some years ago. now, when i wake up my nose is running and i am sneezing.

Customer:

but, it feels like the numbness is sort of new

mysticdoc :

ok

mysticdoc :

so you do have allergic rhinitis.

mysticdoc :

This can cause inflammation of the nerves inside the nose.

Customer:

what's that?

Customer:

could i have developed it later in life?

mysticdoc :

that means inflammation from the allergies.

mysticdoc :

this is common and can develop anytime.

mysticdoc :

This can be treated with a steroid nasal spray like Fluticasone.

Customer:

so, i googled things and could this be "NASAL CAVITY AND PARANASAL SINUS CANCER"?

mysticdoc :

No that is not likely.

mysticdoc :

Bloddy discharge, some type of growth are typical with nasal cancer

mysticdoc :

So i do not think this is anything serious.

Customer:

i actually had an mri of the brain a while back. so, if there was anything to see there, would it be apparent there or not?

mysticdoc :

yes ofcourse

mysticdoc :

so do not worry

Customer:

so, why did this numbness spring up then?

Customer:

how long will it last?

mysticdoc :

it is due to the nerve issue as I explained above.

mysticdoc :

usually it should go away within 2-3 weeks.

Customer:

ok. thanks.
