I got a bee sting on my inner arm yesterday. I'm 65 and abviously not allergic to bee stings! But this morning the tiny prick is surrounded by a*****of swelling and is rather hard. Is there any thing I can do?
Have you taken first aid?
Associated pain, itching on the affected area?
Any other medical history?
Are you taking any medications?
Fever,shortness of breath,dizziness?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

I applied ice to the area and a paste of baking soda because there was itching. Not pain. I have asthma but not severe so I do not take daily medication. I only take lovistatin.

Thanks for providing more information.
Firstly check for stinger inside the affected area. Pull it out.

You should continue to apply ice with ice pack(ice in towel) for 10 minutes 2-3 times a day for next 24 hours.

Also apply OTC 1% hydrocortisone cream mixed with Bacitracin ointment.

Take OTC Motrin 200 mg every 6 hourly and Claritin.

Your tetanus toxoid shot should be updated if you hadn't received for last 5 years.

If you develop shortness of breath, severe itching, pain, swelling then consult your doctor or visit ER ASAP.

I hope this helps.
