My eight year old daughter keeps getting nose bleeds now and again and she said she pulled out a large blob of blood out of nose like a blood clot before it started bleeding. Is this something I should be concerned of and what is causing the nose bleeds?

gently clearing the clot by blowing it out is the better way to go

here is a good reference for you

these nosebleeds are from the anterior (front) part of the nose
and should be stopped with gentle pressure to the nose
she should be told not to stick her fingers or anything else up her nose
and to use gentle blowing to clear clots when the bleeding has stopped.

sorry I had to switch to this format
as I kept getting disconnected.
