I've had, in the past few days, an on and off strange

Resolved Question:

I've had, in the past few days, an on and off strange feeling in my vagina, to the left. It hadn't bothered me constantly. If I try to explain it, it would be a guess a burning sensation. Right now it feels like that. I have no blood, no spotting. I just went to bed at 1:00 a.m., and woke up at 2:30 with this feeling worse than it has been. No pelvic pain, but MAYBE feel like I have to urinate. Up to now, it hadn't bothered me constantly, right now, it's constant. Had a very low incidence of UTI a couple years ago. Wasn't even put on meds for it. I just turned 73, in general good health, expect for chronic sciatic pain. I take synthroid (200mg).

Hello,
Thanks for providing more information.

Sorry for late reply and inconvenience.

Well I understand your discomfort and possible causes of such weird burning sensation in one side of vagina with urge for urination may include Atrophic Vaginitis, Urinary tract infection.

You should take OTC Motrin 200 mg every 6 hourly.

Also hydrate yourself with plenty of fluids.

Try cranberry juice.

Add OTC probiotic such as Rephresh vaginal gel.

And make an appointment with your gynaecologist for a clinical examination and further Urinalysis should be advised.

Low estrogen levels after menopause can cause vaginitis so in such cases, estrogen cream can be advised.

I hope this helps.
If you have any further query then feel free to ask.
Positive feedback and bonus are highly appreciated.
Thank you.

It's 4a.m. here, I only have my prescr. pain meds: 500/5 of Acetametaphine in the house and Naproxen I think.
I've taken one of the 500/5 about an hr. ago....not getting much relief at this point.....I would like to sleep!

Hello,
Thanks for the follow-up.

You should take Naproxen 3 hours after the dose of Acetaminophen.

Hydrate yourself with plenty of fluids.

And make an appointment with your doctor in the morning.

I hope this helps.
