I'm very concerned. I made a tuna melt for my 2.5 year old

I'm very concerned. I made a tuna melt for my 2.5 year old son for dinner. He took a bite and said he didn't want it. Thinking he just wanted to get down and out of eating dinner I made him take two more big bites. He said he didn't like the cheese, but he LOVES cheese normally. So, I tasted it and it was AWFUL. Tasted like rotten horseradish, it was sliced organic American cheese. I've been reading that he could get E. Coli or Listeria from it. Is there anything I can do to help him. I'm really scared!

Yes, infection can be possible.
But it does not happen all the time.
Our body always try to overcome it by body's own resistance power, immunity.
Though he has taken 3 bites, we hope, it will pass way.
Treatment is supportive only.
As he is sleeping now & 2 hours have passed, we should watch carefully.
If he develops any symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, you should take him to doctor.
Please do not worry much.
I hope this information helps.
I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification.
Please feel free for any follow up query.
Best wishes.
