This answer was rated:

I have noticed "blobs" of clearish almost cloudy, mucusy stuff in my urine about twice recently. Could this be albumin or mucus?
Thank you for your question,
I’m Dr. Saha and I’ll try to help you.
When did you notice it?
How much was there?
Is there any pain or discomfort?
How is the frequency of urine?
Do you have any other past illness?
Do you have any vaginal discharge?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

I first noticed a couple of days ago and again today, mornings not first void. as big as joining the thumb & firdt finger circle. No pain, frequency about normal. Yes, I have been treated for Hep C in 1996-7 with no viral load now. No discharge. I work in pathology so I have some understanding of medical terminology. I am a specimen collector

Thank you Christine, for the information,
The blob like thing is likely to be mucus.
Albumin usually causes a cloudy appearance.
Sometimes urine can be mixed with mucus from vagina.
Though you do not feel any symptom, I would suggest to get your urine tested in the lab.
I hope this information helps.
I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification.
Please feel free for any follow up query.
Best wishes.

Thankyou, I am menopausal only 3 years so I suppose vaginal mucus could be a possibility. I don't know whether to worry because I get little time to attend my gp. How quickly should I go, would the weekend be too long

You are always welcome.
Mixture with vaginal mucus is more common as you do not have any other symptom/ pain.
If you do not develop any symptom in the meantime, then you can see your GP in the weekend.
