Female mid-40's: I have intermittant pain on my left side at hip bone level (more to the side & just slightly towards the back. It usually occurs after sitting and dissipates with standing. It is an aching pain. The initial onset was about 1 year ago.
Anthony Bray MD : Hello!
Anthony Bray MD : This pain may relate to your hip joint....
Anthony Bray MD : i would recommend that you try an anti- inflammatory med as a start... Aleve one to two twice a day with meals( provided you have no problems with stomach ulcers or kidney disease)
Anthony Bray MD : you may benefit to see your doctor with regard to the problem....

Thanks. If this doesn't resolve over time, what is next option?

Anthony Bray MD : I suspect an exam and placing you in varied positions may help to identify the source if the trouble... This may help to tailor your treatment plan more specifically...
