For some reason I can't enter chat, it disconnects. JP has all of the above problems plus just not a big desire to correct anything. will antioxadants help her? If so which ones. she might follow that.

Hello Sue,

I am sorry for the troubles.

As she knows she needs to reduce weight if she is overweight or obese.

About 10% weight loss may be required to have improvement.

She needs to take a balanced diet rich in vegetables & fruits.

She should have regular exercise, adequate physical activity.

Walking daily is a good habit in this regard.

She can take a consultation with a dietitian to help with her weight loss.

Antioxidant like vitamin E has been seen to show improvement in non diabetic NASH.

She can discuss with doctor about it.

If there’s anything else I can do, let me know.

Best Wishes.

She is a diabetic. any other things to take? Green tea, blueberries???

Does she take any medicine for diabetes?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Yes but I don't know what. I will find out. the green tea and blueberries should not hurt her, I would not think.

Blue berries, green tea also contain antioxidants.
They would not harm.
Pioglitazone, metformin are being used in diabetics with NASH.
Research is going on in this field to determine which one has long term benefit.
