how do i bill cpt code 88305 for multiple surgery

Can you clarify your question for me:

Are you doing gross examination of multiple specimens from the same individual on the same day? Same site or different sites?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

we are dermatology, we do multiple excision, hence multiple pathology, we billed 88305 x specimen, but now BCBS is not paying, they only pay one.

What specific type of lesions are you removing?

Is this part of Mohs surgery?

What ICD-9 are you typically using?

Which state (or which particular BC/BS are you dealing with)?

no Mohs, we remove mole's, lecions, different places on the body, could be arm, leg, trunck, so we have multiple pathology, also we are in IL. BCBS of Il.
