I may need knee replacement in the left knee but my right

This answer was rated:

I may need knee replacement in the left knee but my right knee is crunching and popping as I walk. Also I can go up stairs but in going down stairs it is painful and my leg is stiff and tight around my calf. My calf and foot is now swelling and capillaries are breaking. What's happening? Thank you.

Do you have skin discoloration on your right leg?

Any other medical illness?

Are you taking any medicines?

Is your leg warm to touch?

Duration of symptoms?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
My calf is warm where it is red but my foot is cold. I have been taking acetaminophen at night for the swelling of the left knee for a week. These symptoms have been going on for a long time but more prominent with the left knee hurting.

Thanks for providing more information.

As per your description, your symptoms(pain, warmth, swelling, broken capillaries on right leg)indicate the possibility of Deep vein thrombosis, venous insufficiency.

Other possible cause of radiating pain in leg can be

Nerve compression due to degenerative arthritic changes in lumbosacral spine.

And it may require an urgent medical attention.

So i recommend to visit ER or consult your family doctor ASAP.

Elevate your leg and take OTC Motrin in the meantime.

Hope this helps.
