Recently my big toenails have started turning grey or blue/grey. Wondering if this indicates some problem. No pain or toe injuries I can remember.
The views expressed by me are for educational purposes only and do not establish a doctor patient relationship.

Thanks for your question.
Grey and bluish color of the toe nail can be from the fungal infection commonly.
Other possibilities include underlying lung disease or heart disease.
These conditions can compromise the blood circulation to the nails.
Since you do not have any symptoms heart or lung problem unlikely.

We have new information; a new set of black stockings. Over the past week I have been wearing new black socks and believe this might be the cause. Just goes to show us that some things have simple explanations.

That can also be a possibility.
If that is the case, the discoloration should disappear on discontinuation of the black socks.

Thanks for the information.
