Causes of a metallic taste include medications (antibiotics, vitamins, antidepressants, certain blood pressure medications, rheumatoid arthritis medications, etc); oral infections. Causes of loss of smell include: sinus infection, cold, allergies, nasal polyps, diabetes, medications, zinc deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, etc. It is good that you were seen by an ENT. I recommend that you revisit your primary care doctor and review your medications if you are on any medications that can cause these problems. If that goes well, seeing a dentist for any oral infection may be necessary.
