DR MED MD :

Welcome to just answer.

DR MED MD :

What kind of tumor was removed?

DR MED MD :

How big was tumor?

Customer:

It was unable to be diagnosed by a needle biopsy, so they want to remove it. not sure on the size. I haven't seen the thoracic surgeon yet.

DR MED MD :

How big incision is there any surgery site?

Customer:

I havent had it done yet.

DR MED MD :

ok..

DR MED MD :

Recovery depends on lot of factor like type of tumor , site and extent of tumor , patients general health etc.

DR MED MD :

In case of local rib tumor complete recovery can take 2-3 wks.

DR MED MD :

You need 3-4 days of hospital stay if there is no post operative complication.

DR MED MD :

If there is complete removal of tumor then wound or incision healing will take 7-10 days.

DR MED MD :

Thanks
