What might an almost nickel size sphere "lump" on the top

This answer was rated:

What might an almost nickel size sphere "lump" on the top right side of my right foot, just in front of my ankle be? I would describe it as "semi-hard". I have had it for about two years. As a rule it doesn't hurt...but every 8 months or so, I think it is the reason I have pain when putting pressure on that foot.

This is most likely a lipoma.
It is a benign tumor.
Abnormal fat cells make it.

you should have an ultrasound to make sure.
They can be painful occasionally.
The can easily be removed if bothersome, otherwise they can be left alone.

Make sure it is examined to confirm this.
good luck
