Body systems are integrally connected to each other. So while a very high bilirubin does not have a direct effect on the pulse rate and blood pressure; it does affects the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The autonomic nervous system controls the pulse rate and blood pressure and ANS is affected by any change in our internal chemical environment. So an high bilirubin may indirectly affect the heart rate/pulse and blood pressure via autonomic nervous system, which responds to any change in internal milieu and metabolic environment of our body.
