My wife is 6&1/2 months pregnant and she is having allergy

Resolved Question:

My wife is 6&1/2 months pregnant and she is having allergy problems.(Running nose, sneezing, itching eyes etc) Can she take an over the counter medicine to help deal with the allergies?

If she can avoid any medication that would be ideal. The allergy medications like Benadryl are category B pregnancy medicine. While there are no evidence in animal studies that they are harmful in pregnancy, human studies are not good enough in numbers, to conclusively say that are not harmful to baby.
