Did you have any injury or do you have arthritis or any other condition?

How long are you having the symptoms?

When have you consulted doctor last?

Did you take any other medicine?

Which tests did you have?

Do you have any other previous illness?

Thank you.

Thank you for the information.

I feel you are having osteoarthritis which causes degeneration of cartilage.

Ligaments will not regrow with medicine but further damage needs to be prevented.

Repetitive use of worn out cartilage causes inflammation and pain.

Sometimes new bone growth occurs in around the inflammed joint.

Some factors can precipitate the development of the disease like obesity, diabetes, trauma etc.

To prevent worsening diabetes, obesity should be under control if you have.

You can continue supplements as you are taking like chondroitin/ glucosamine, Vit D and multivitamin etc.

Another supplements omega 3 fatty acid may help to reduce the symptoms.

Local steroid injection can be tried.

But repeated injection are not helpful, can cause damage to the joints.

If the medicines do not help, then joint replacement will be the option.

Sometimes local injection of hyaluronic acid can help if surgery is not considered.

Some home measures like hot and cold therapy are also helpful.

With treatment the symptoms can be less, can not be cured fully.

Regular exercise, movement can keep the joint active.

I hope this information helps.

I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification.

Please feel free for any follow up query.
